A Wisconsin company that processes un-milled tree trunks into load-bearing timbers is planning to expand into a vacant factory space in Ashland. Whole Tree Structures is the latest company to develop a climate friendly building product. It has developed a catalogue of standard trunk shapes, and simplified the process of transposing idiosyncratic structures into design programs.
